Richard was co-owner of Aldbridge
Consultancy; an accounting and company secretarial firm, which was
acquired by Tricor Group in 2008. Richard qualified with Coopers
& Lybrand (C&L) in London as a Chartered Accountant and
subsequently transferred to their offices in Zambia and Malawi
where he was an Audit Partner. Richard represented Zambia and
Malawi in the Commonwealth Foundation for the purposes of
establishing professional practise within the Commonwealth.
On returning to C&L in London, he
managed the firm's client accounting outsourcing department as well
as acting as accountant to the Accountants Joint Disciplinary
Scheme which investigated firms of auditors in cases of public
interest.
Richard qualified as a Chartered Secretary and set up the company
secretarial department within C&L London, which he ran for
several years providing compliance and consultancy services to a
number of large domestic and international companies.
