One month until tax reclaim deadlines change
People involved in income tax planning have been reminded that there is only one month left before the deadlines for reclaiming tax change.
Tax agents who have Self Assessment clients with a claim for the year 2004-2005 will need to send it in by March 31st, while all later deadlines have been set to April 5th.
Brian Redford, deputy director of intermediaries and external communication for HM Revenue & Customs (HMRC), said it is important that clients do not miss out on claiming any money they are entitled to.
"There is only one month to go before there are new deadlines for re-claiming tax – with the time limits for claiming tax back changing from six to four years," he added.
HMRC recently announced that it is staging a number of events around the UK over the next few weeks, which are aimed at helping businesses to better understand their corporation tax and other responsibilities.
